ARFC was pleased and excited to announce the appointment of Bill Kreger as its new Head Tennis Professional in June 2007. A California native, Bill has earned a Masters of Science Degree and Ph.D. in Physical Education from the University of Nevada and University of New Mexico respectively. Bill’s background includes a significant dedication to fitness as he is certified with the United States Professional Tennis Association, the American College of Sports Medicine, Pat Etcheberry’s Tennis/Fitness, and NIRSA as a Recreational Sports Specialist.
Among his credits as a Club Tennis Professional, Bill has served as a Teaching Professional at the Double Diamond Athletic Club in Reno, as Head Tennis Professional at Sports Center Fitness in Redondo Beach, CA, and now comes to Auburn Racquet & Fitness Club from the Washington Golf & Country Club where Bill was a Teaching Professional as well as the Fitness Director. Bill’s experience as a Head Tennis Professional is not limited to just the club business as his background includes stints with resorts such as Club Med, Saddlebrook and Hilton Head Island. Bill’s coaching & leadership background is also extensive. Bill was Assistant Coach of the University of New Mexico’s Men’s Tennis Team and was Head Coach of the Men’s Touring Team, Athletes In Action. Finally, Bill was Assistant Director, Fitness & Recreational Sports at Chico State and was Chairman/Assistant Professor of Physical Education & Wellness at Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas.
