Weight Room Introductions

Would you like to know more about how the exercise equipment works? Then join us for our weekly demonstrations. You will have fun as you learn how to use each piece safely and set it up just for you. For your convenience, weight room introductions are offered weekly on an on-going basis. All you have to do is sign up at the Front Desk and be ready to learn.

Juniors under the age of 16 years old must have weight room clearance from our personal trainer before using any cardio or weight equipment. Under age children are not permitted in either room at any time, even with a parent.

  • Always ask others before changing the television or music. Keep music volume low.
  • Wear proper athletic shoes and clothing. Bare feet or socks are prohibited.
  • Leave your gym bag in a locker or in a cubbyhole.
  • Carry a workout towel and wipe down equipment after use.
  • No food or drinks, other than water, in either room.
  • Make sure drinking bottles have a closable top.
  • Ask for assistance if you do not know how to use equipment.
  • If another is using equipment, ask if you may work in between sets. Always allow someone to work with you.
  • Avoid making loud sounds including banging or dropping weights and yelling.
  • Collars on weight bars are mandatory at all times.
  • Do not sit on machines between sets.
  • Limit your use of cardio equipment to thirty minutes when others are waiting. If you have already exceeded that limit, offer others your machine.
  • Be aware of those around you. Don’t stand in front of the weight rack while lifting, you may be blocking others from accessing the weights.
  • Re-rack weights and return other accessories to their place.
